Welcome to H-SEIF

Creating value from big data and digitalization

Welcome to the H-SEIF2 project, a pioneering four-year research initiative that builds upon the success of the H-SEIF 1 project. The objective of H-SEIF, or the Human Systems-Engineering Innovation Framework, is to support the creation of man-made systems that are developed by and for humans.

Driven by a consortium of leading Norwegian industry players and led by innovation company Semcon, H-SEIF2 aims to help partner companies adapt to the evolving market needs while simultaneously enhancing the efficiency of their development and operational processes.

Project Mission

Enhancing the capacities of the industry by establishing a collaborative network.

Developing and sharing tools and methods that prioritize data-driven decision-making, particularly in the early stages of product, systems and services development.

About the project

Project Participants: Industry and Academia

Duration: 4 years

Topics: Systems Engineering, Big Data, Digitalization.

Supported by: Research Council of Norway

H-SEIF 2 is extending the collaborative framework by getting hold of unspoken information and transfer this into useful knowledge early in systems development. The companies revises their Systems-Engineering (SE) work processes by extending with a set of collaborative tools and methods augmented with data-analytics. Internationally recognized academics with substantial industry experiences collaborate with cross companies to make sure the processes are thoroughly tested and based on both research and best practices.

All the companies involved here want to create more value for the end user.
H-SEIF is an attempt to make digitization and big data more applicable.
This project is helping to make us more robust, and it is absolutely crucial that academia and industry work so closely together.
